* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the following counties, Boone and Winnebago. * WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. High water likely may recede slowly from flooded areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1050 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing. Between 2 and 5.5 inches of rain have fallen. Little to no additional rainfall is expected through the night. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, South Beloit, Rockton, Poplar Grove, Candlewick Lake, Cherry Valley, Pecatonica, Lake Summerset, Durand, Timberlane, Garden Prairie, Caledonia, Harrison and Shirland. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
