High Wind Warning issued April 16 at 5:33PM MDT until April 16 at 6:00PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY

Strong winds earlier this afternoon have subsided early this evening with northwest winds occasionally gusting to 50 MPH in the last hour. Winds are forecast to continue weakening through sunset. Therefore, will allow the High Wind Warning to expire on time.

Flood Advisory issued April 16 at 4:52PM CDT until April 16 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following counties, Madison, Stanton and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 452 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Norfolk, Stanton, Winside, Hoskins, Carroll and Lake Maskenthine Recreation Area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. Winds behind a departing low pressure system will be quite gusty through this evening before diminishing later tonight. Northwest winds may gust 45 to 55 mph or higher. Tree branches may be blown on to power lines with isolated power outages possible. Driving may be difficult especially for high profile vehicles.
