* WHAT...Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * WHERE...Avery, Buncombe, Burke Mountains, Caldwell Mountains, Henderson, McDowell Mountains, Mitchell, Polk Mountains, Rutherford Mountains, and Yancey Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Winds of this magnitude may blow down some trees or limbs that were damaged by Helene back in late September, putting recovery crews at risk. Scattered power outages may occur.

Frost Advisory issued October 14 at 2:19PM EDT until October 15 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 34 will result in frost formation. * WHERE...Graham, Haywood, Macon, Northern Jackson, Southern Jackson, Swain, and Transylvania Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

In Virginia, Grayson and Smyth Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
