Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County. .High mountain snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to remain high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam. For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam, Owyhee Dam...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until further notice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM MDT Friday /9:30 AM PDT Friday/ the flow was 3,643.0 cfs. - Bankfull stage is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM MDT Friday /9:30 AM PDT Friday/ was 3,655.0 cfs. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 4,999.9 cfs tomorrow morning. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, but 3 to 8 inches above 5000 feet. * WHERE...West Slopes of the Northern and Central Oregon Cascades, and South Washington Cascades. * WHEN...Until midnight PDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions at times, mainly this afternoon into this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Recent warm temperatures will likely delay and diminish accumulations on paved road surfaces. Amounts will be highest above 5000 feet.
