...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EAST FACING SHORES OF KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI MAUI AND THE BIG ISLAND... .Surf along exposed east facing shores will remain rough due to a combination of a medium-period northeast (030 to 060 degrees) swell and locally generated wind waves. Although surf heights may dip below the advisory threshold by Wednesday, expect the rough conditions to persist through the week for east facing shores due to strong trade winds continuing. * WHAT...Surf of 8 to 12 feet. * WHERE...East facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big Island. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST this evening. * IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.
