* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Gulf County in the panhandle of Florida... * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT /300 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 153 PM EDT /1253 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 153 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Hilliard, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... Hilliard, Folkston, and Kings Ferry.

At 149 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout near Oceanway, or 8 miles north of Arlington, moving north at 5 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts around 40 mph, and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Nassau and northeastern Duval Counties.
