* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Indiana, including the following counties, Pike and Warrick. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT /615 PM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 405 PM EDT /305 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued July 13 at 3:35PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY

The combination of Sunday afternoon temperatures reaching into the low and mid 90s and a muggy airmass will result in peak heat index values in the 100 to 105 degree range. Use caution if planning to be outdoors. Hot and humid conditions are then expected to continue through Tuesday. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
