* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected in the North Carolina mountains and far northeast Georgia. Total snow accumulations mostly under an inch in the valleys and 1 to 3 inches on ridgetops. Ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina. * WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to noon EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Snow and ice accumulations will make some roads treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on tree limbs and power lines could produce isolated outages. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville affecting Bleckley and Pulaski Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville. * WHEN...From Wednesday morning to Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 20 feet, Minor flooding of roads occurs on the southside of Hawkinsville, along Gooseneck Lane. With the flooding of Gooseneck Lane. residents are cutoff from reaching their homes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 19.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 20.4 feet early Thursday morning. Oconee River near Oconee affecting Washington, Johnson and Wilkinson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee. * WHEN...Until late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...Between 18 feet and 19 feet, the water level begins to flood portions of the dirt parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp, just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor flooding continues in the woodlands near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.9 feet this afternoon.
