...The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Nevada... Lamoille Creek Above Lamoille affecting Elko County. .Warm temperatures continue to melt snowpack in the Ruby Mountains, resulting in elevated flows on Lamoille Creek. Early this evening the flow reached 4.0 feet. The flow is expected to continue to rise into the late evening hours, then subside overnight, probably back below 4.0 feet. Lamoille Creek is not expected to reach it's minor flood stage of 4.8 feet, however elevated flows of around 4.0 feet are likely to persist through Monday, with cooler temperatures, reduced snowmelt and flows on the creek subsiding Tuesday. For the Lamoille Creek...including Lamoille, elevated river levels are expected. * WHAT...Elevated flows due to snowmelt continue. * WHERE...Lamoille Creek above Lamoille. * WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 4.0 feet, Action stage. Visitors to Lamoille Canyon and the Powerhouse Picnic Area need to use extreme caution around Lamoille Creek and other creeks in the Ruby Mountains.
