We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Longmont.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following county, Yuma. * WHEN...Until 200 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1150 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wray, Beecher Island and Vernon.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Southeastern Yuma and Southwestern Cheyenne Counties

* WHAT...A localized band of heavy rainfall with 2-4" will be possible across Yuma, Cheyenne, and Dundy counties as multiple rounds of storms move through the area overnight Friday into Saturday. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Colorado, including the following county, Yuma, northwest Kansas, including the following county, Cheyenne, and southwest Nebraska, including the following county, Dundy. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Overnight flooding will make it difficult to see the depth of any water.

Locations include, but are not limited to Saguache, Silverton, Lake City, Creede, Pagosa Springs, Delta, Gunnison, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, Dove Creek, Cortez, Durango, Hermosa, Honeyville, Rockwood, Del Norte, South Fork and Conejos. WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties WHEN...400 PM Friday July 11 to 400 PM Saturday July 12 IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front Range Urban Corridor. Unsettled weather will keep ozone in the Good to Moderate range on Friday. However, hot, stagnant weather on Saturday will allow ozone to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups level. For Colorado air quality conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit: https://www.colorado.gov/airquality/colorado_summary.aspx If possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025.
