* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Union and Wayne, northern Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Campbell and Kenton, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fairfield, Fayette, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Hocking, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto and Warren. * WHEN...From midnight EDT tonight through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of thunderstorms will produce heavy rain of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts, which may lead to flooding.

Temperatures this afternoon and into the early evening will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s across portions of the lowlands. This, combined with high humidity, will result in heat indices ranging from the middle 90s to near 100 degrees in some locations. Try to limit time outdoors this afternoon when heat illness is most likely to occur. If going outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of fluids and take breaks out of the sun.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 103-109 degrees can be expected. * WHERE...all of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Sunday. * IMPACTS...Record to near record hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Heat Advisory has been extended thru Sunday for the entire Quad State Region. Although heat index values will only be near 100, the prolonged period of late season hot temperatures and high humidity will continue to elevate heat-related health impacts.

Temperatures will reach the lower to mid 90s this afternoon. Combined with high humidity, maximum heat indices will be in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees.
