Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued April 16 at 4:01AM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI

Elevated fire weather conditions will persist across northern Wisconsin during the afternoon. Mild temperatures and low relative humidity will continue as east winds increase and gust to 30 to 45 mph this afternoon. Rain will arrive tonight, and bring a temporary end to the fire concerns. Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills, smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have the potential to throw a spark and ignite a fire. Burning bans are in effect across most of the area, so be sure to heed any restrictions that are in place in your county.
