At 653 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Jinks, or near Irvine, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Irvine, Beattyville, Fincastle, Ravenna, Pilot, Leeco, Rice Station, Kings Station, Pinnacle, Patsey, Wisemantown, Weedon, Drip Rock, Blanton Flats, Knowlton, Alumbaugh, Rogers Chapel, Evelyn, Pitts, and Texola.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following county, Pike. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 510 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to nearly stationary showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Belcher, Cedarville and Rockhouse.
