Water begins to flood Vicky Guynn Way in Lafayette County. In Gilchrist County, flooding affects areas between the river and NW 72nd Way. Flooding expands considerably around NW 73rd Way and NW 82nd terrace. Much of NW 6th street is flooded. Residences begin to be affected near SW 77th Avenue. At 16.3 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission begins enforcement of a no wake zone on the Santa Fe River from the unnamed island 1.5 miles downstream of the Wilson's Spring Boat Ramp to the confluence with the Suwannee River and on the Ichetucknee River upstream to the US 27 bridge. At 17.0 feet, Water begins to enter backyards of residences on Santa Fe Road in Columbia County and on River Run Road in Suwannee County. At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flood River Run Road in Suwannee County. At 18.8 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission expands the no wake zone restriction further upstream on the Santa Fe River from the unnamed island 1.5 miles downstream on the Wilson's Spring Boat Ramp to one-half mile upstream of the State Road 47 bridge. At 21.0 feet, Homes are surrounded on River Run Road in Suwannee County. Structures flood along Santa Fe Road west of Idaho Parkway in Columbia County. At 22.0 feet, River Run Road at 29th loop floods in Suwannee County. Santa Fe Road in Columbia County is inaccessible. At 23.0 feet, Homes are inaccessible along River Run Road in Suwannee County west of 33rd Road. At 24.0 feet, Flooding expands across the area affecting numerous homes on Santa Fe Road and SW Riverside Avenue in Columbia County. * WHAT...Flooding caused by last week's rainfall continues, especially in the Chaires, Capitola, and Baum communities of eastern Leon County. * WHERE...Eastern Leon County in the Florida Big Bend. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Several roads either remain closed or have water still flowing across them in Eastern Leon County. Driving on flooded roads can be especially hazardous. Obey any road closure signs when encountering flooded roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 145 PM EDT, Leon County Emergency Management reported continued flooding in the Capitola, Chaires, and Baum communities of eastern Leon County. Flood waters remain, but are slowly subsiding. While some roads are beginning to reopen, others have water flowing across them, making travel difficult or even dangerous. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
