At 828 PM EST, a snow shower was located over Rocky Fork Point, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Rapidly changing visibility. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Driving conditions may change quickly. Locations impacted include... Chillicothe, Hillsboro, Greenfield, Waverly, Piketon, Peebles, Winchester, Kingston, Marshall, Seaman, Bainbridge, New Holland, Belfast, Highland Holiday, Pike Lake, Kincaid Springs, Rocky Fork Point, Cynthiana, North Folk Village, and Good Hope. A passing cold front brings the potential for snow squalls and gusty winds. While accumulations will generally be less than half an inch, quick bursts of snow will lead to sudden reductions in visibility, and slick conditions at times. Wind gusts up to 30 mph are possible along their path. Use caution, and slow down if driving.

Winter Weather Advisory issued December 11 at 2:50PM EST until December 12 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Isolated higher amounts up to 7 inches possible in Northeast Ashtabula Lakeshore. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow will be moderate to heavy at times tonight into Thursday morning with rates up to 1 inch per hour. The snow band will shift north and east of the area by late Thursday morning, before shifting back south and weakening Thursday night.

An approaching cold front will bring scattered snow showers through this evening. The greatest coverage of snow showers this afternoon into this evening will be downwind of Lake Michigan with the lake effect snow showers. Even outside of lake effect snow showers, the combination of scattered snow showers and gusty winds up to 40 mph may result in rapid visibility reductions. Areas along and north of the Toll Road will experience the greatest potential for hazardous travel conditions this evening into tonight as the combination of wind and lake effect snow showers also may produce some blowing and drifting snow. In addition, wind chills are expected to drop into the single digits below zero tonight into early Thursday morning.

An approaching cold front will continue to bring scattered snow showers through this evening. While only a dusting of snow accumulation is expected with any heavier snow showers, the combination of the snow showers and gusty winds to 30 to 35 mph may result in rapid visibility reductions. If travelling this through this evening, be prepared for variable conditions due to the scattered nature of the snow showers. In addition, wind chills are expected to drop into the single digits below zero tonight into early Thursday morning.

In addition, wind chill temperatures will fall just below zero late tonight into early Thursday morning.
