Very windy conditions may develop on the northern edge of a large shield of rain moving from southwest to northeast through the region. Sudden gusts of 45 to 55 mph, or isolated higher, could develop quickly with little notice. The strong winds will blow around loose objects and lead to difficult travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
