Owyhee River Below Wildhorse affecting Elko County. .High mountain snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to become high. Minor flooding is possible by this weekend. For the Owyhee River...including Wildhorse...elevated river levels are forecast. * WHAT...Elevated river flows caused by snow melt and upstream dam releases are expected. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Wildhorse. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, Flood stage; minor flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM PDT Wednesday the stage was 3.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 3.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue rising to 3.5 feet early Tuesday morning.
