At 1235 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers producing strong wind gusts along a line extending from 7 miles southeast of Clyde Park to 18 miles northeast of Cooke City. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Livingston, Red Lodge, Big Timber, Absarokee, Bearcreek, Chico Hot Springs, Springdale, Reed Point, Mystic Lake, Fishtail, Alpine, Roberts, Dean, Mc Leod, Fox, Pine Creek, Chico, Melville, Greycliff, and Washoe.

Scattered snow showers will move through Southwest MT this afternoon. Some of the heavier snow showers will reduce visibility below a half mile. Snow accumulations will primarily be on bridges and grassy surfaces at lower elevations, with an inch or so possible on mountain passes, such as Bozeman Pass on Interstate 90 and Deep Creek Pass on Highway 12 between Townsend and White Sulphur Springs. If driving through this area this afternoon, be alert for quickly changing road conditions, along with areas of reduced visibility.

Winds gusting as high as 40 mph over mountain ridges. * WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially over Raynolds and Targhee passes. Patchy blowing snow could reduce visibility.
