Portneuf River at Topaz affecting Bannock County. .Warm temperatures are melting high mountain snowpack and increasing river flows. The stage of the Portneuf in this stretch is still very close to flood stage. * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Portneuf River at Topaz. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 4.0 feet, Lowland and crop field flooding possible from Pebble Creek to Inkom. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:15 AM MDT Tuesday the stage was 3.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 4.1 feet tomorrow morning. Portneuf River at Pocatello affecting Bannock County. .Warm temperatures continues to melt high mountain snowpack and increase river flows. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Portneuf River at Pocatello. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 9.4 feet, Water will encroach around sitting benches near the river at the Pacific Recycling Trailhead. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM MDT Tuesday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM MDT Tuesday was 9.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.4 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, May 21. - Flood stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.5 feet on 01/02/1979. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Blackfoot River near Shelley (Wolverine Canyon) affecting Bingham County. .Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to become high. The river stage in this stretch of the Blackfoot River is very close to flood stage, with more melting expected. Expect possible minor flooding downstream from the dam. * WHAT...No flooding is currently forecast. * WHERE...Blackfoot River near Shelley (Wolverine Canyon). * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, From the mouth of Wolverine Canyon upstream to the Blackfoot Dam, water flooding may be possible. Unimproved campgrounds may have water seeping or ponding in them along with strong flows at river's edge. Flat areas along the river and croplands may have water ponding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM MDT Tuesday the stage was 8.4 feet. - Forecast...No forecast is available for this location. - Flood stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.4 feet on 06/05/1983. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
