* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues to be possible. * WHERE...Circle * WHEN...From midnight AKDT tonight through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...As of midday Saturday, the Yukon River breakup front is 50 miles upstream of Circle, near Coal Creek. There is a 20 mile run of dense ice above the breakup front. Residents of Circle should be aware that the breakup front is approaching. If the breakup front doesn't stall, it will likely reach Circle early Sunday morning. Water levels in Eagle during breakup were within bank, so the ingredients for a major or catastrophic flood like last year are not present. However as the breakup front moves downstream, it is likely that small jams may form and release, leading to fluctuating water levels and potential minor or moderate flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Http://www.weather.gov/aprfc - If you live near or along the Yukon River stay alert and be prepared to take action.

The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is possible near Kwethluk. * WHERE...The following area, Kwethluk * WHEN...From 4 PM AKDT this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS... As of Saturday, an ice jam has been in place and is impounding water at Kalskag. When this jam breaks, a pulse of water will flow downstream. Potential ice jams and associated high water may cause minor or moderate flooding in Kwethluk as the ice front moves past the village. Generally, water levels have been near normal this breakup season. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Ice jam flooding has high uncertainty. Impacts could range between localized high water and severe flooding. Now is the time to take precautions. * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE...Moose Creek, Trooper Creek and other small streams in Glennallen. * WHEN...Until noon AKDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Snowmelt flooding will continue to inundate the areas along the Glenn Highway. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 10:40 AM Saturday morning: Water flow from Moose Creek and Trooper Creek could impact travel on the Glenn Highway. Flooding was ongoing in Glennallen, especially along the north side of the Glenn Highway from Moose Creek to Mt Sanford Drive. - An additional quarter-inch to third-of-an-inch of rainfall is expected in Glennallen Sunday night which may increase water levels Sunday night and Monday. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - If you live near or along the creeks and streams in Glennallen stay alert and be prepared to take action to move property to higher ground.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues. * WHERE...Kuskokwim River near Kalskag. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM AKDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...As of Saturday morning, flooding was reported due to an ice jam on the Kuskokwim River below Kalskag. The jam was impounding water and causing rises on the Kuskokwim River in Kalskag as well as along Mud Creek around the back of Kalskag. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 915 AM AKDT, Water was reported over the road that connects Upper and Lower Kalskag, closing the road to traffic. Sustained southeasterly winds 25 to 30 mph are expected with possible gusts as high as 50 mph. Blowing dust may reduce visibility below 2 miles at times. Winds subside Friday night but resume to previous levels by noon on Saturday. Winds should finally decrease below 10 mph Saturday before midnight.

Areas of flooding will be possible as snowmelt continues across the Copper River Basin, causing rapid rises on local rivers and streams through the weekend. * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following area, Copper River Basin. This includes the cities of Glennallen, Eureka, Mccarthy, Paxson, And Slana. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Snowmelt flooding continues across portions of the Copper River Basin. Daytime high temperatures in the 50s, with nighttime lows above freezing at most locations, will continue to melt snow cover across the region, especially at higher elevations.
