Inland Onslow
Special Weather Statement issued April 23 at 7:08PM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC

In the wake of the hail storm that impacted northern Onslow County earlier today, there may continue to be a risk of travel impacts due to hail covered roads. Additionally, sudden reductions in visibility will be possible where hail accumulated. The areas at greatest risk for travel impacts will be portions of Highway 111 near the Albert J Ellis Airport in Richlands, as well as portions of Highway 24 and Highway 258 through Richlands. Side roads may be impacted as well. If traveling in this area, be prepared to slow down due to reduced visibility or slippery roads where accumulated hail remains. Be aware of potential road closures as well.
