Winds gusting up to 35 mph. * WHERE...Pribilof Islands * WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 10 AM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could reduce visibility to one half mile or less at times. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall expected to ease overnight Thursday into Friday; however, a secondary push of northwesterly wind will persist the likelihood for blowing snow potentially into late Friday morning.

Visibilities reduced to one-half mile are expected with lower visibilities possible. WHERE...Northern Bristol Bay coast. * WHEN...From Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Expect difficult travel conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Conditions on the southeastern portion of Bristol Bay coastline near King Salmon will likely see a period of heavy snow/rain showers, while to the north from Dillingham to Togiak may see more focused periods of snowfall. Periods of blizzard conditions are possible.

Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur along the Yukon Delta Coast. But wind gusts of up to 35 mph will be possible inland as well, resulting in blowing snow and poor visibility.

We are monitoring a strong storm progged to bring heavy snow to the Southern Alaska Range Saturday into Sunday. Exact amounts are still uncertain but the likelihood of seeing several inches of snow are increasing. The heaviest snow looks to arrive Saturday evening and continue through Sunday then lighten as we head into Monday.
