...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia... Oconee River near Oconee affecting Johnson, Wilkinson and Washington Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 17 feet, Flood stage is reached. The water level reaches the top of the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp, just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor flooding of woodlands near the river occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 17.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:15 PM EST Wednesday was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 8.8 feet Monday morning. - Flood stage is 17 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Snow, mixed with rain in the valleys, expected in the North Carolina mountains and far northeast Georgia. Total snow accumulations mainly under an inch most valleys and 1 to 3 inches on ridgetops, with locally higher amounts. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina. * WHEN...Until noon EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville affecting Bleckley and Pulaski Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ocmulgee River at US 341 at Hawkinsville. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 20 feet, Minor flooding of roads occurs on the southside of Hawkinsville, along Gooseneck Lane. With the flooding of Gooseneck Lane, residents are cutoff from reaching their homes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 19.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20 feet this afternoon. Ocmulgee River at Abbeville affecting Wilcox, Telfair and Dodge Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ocmulgee River at Abbeville. * WHEN...From late tonight until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 12 feet, Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding of lowlands adjacent to the river begins. The water level reaches the top of the Abbeville boat ramp and also begins to flood the nearby park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight and continue rising to a crest of 12.6 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 12 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
