* WHAT...West winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible. * WHERE...Big Belt, Bridger and Castle Mountains, Gates of the Mountains, Helena Valley, Little Belt and Highwood Mountains, Meagher County Valleys, Upper Blackfoot and MacDonald Pass, Fergus County below 4500ft, and Judith Basin and Judith Gap Counties. * WHEN...From late tonight through late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles including campers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Two rounds of strong winds are expected with this event. The first round will arrive early Wednesday morning and last through the early afternoon. There will be a short lull in the mid-afternoon hours before the wind picks up again Wednesday evening and lasts through early Thursday morning.

Special Weather Statement issued June 9 at 10:15AM MDT by NWS Missoula MT
Widespread snow will impact the Glacier Park region above 5,000 feet tonight through Wednesday as a cold system moves through the area. Confidence is high for accumulating snow, with most areas seeing at least 2 to 4 inches of snow above 5,000 feet. Isolated snow amounts up to 12 inches will impact higher mountain peaks above 6,000 feet. Those heading into the backcountry and higher elevations should prepare for winter-like conditions. An elevated risk will exist for hypothermia.
