This area of convection will scoot eastward beneath a lower level shortwave trof, arriving to southeast Texas Thursday morning. Ahead of the trof, lowering heights and deeply entrenched moisture over Louisiana will assist in the development of showers into central and southeast Texas late tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will spread into southeast Texas counties prior to sunrise Thursday morning and continue spreading eastward through the morning.
