At 1202 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a developing, broken line of strong thunderstorms extending from 14 miles southeast of Wellsboro to near Milton to near Shamokin to Annville. Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Williamsport, Bloomsburg, Pottsville, Berwick, Sunbury, Shamokin, Tamaqua, Milton, Mount Carmel, Schuylkill Haven, Shenandoah, Danville, Montoursville, Minersville, Mahanoy City, Frackville, Northumberland, St. Clair, Kulpmont, and Ashland.

Gusty showers and storms west of I-81 will continue a fast-moving eastward track across Central NY. Strong to severe storms are expected to develop in the afternoon, and last through late evening. Primary threats include wind gusts in excess of 60 mph, hail, and the possibility of an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

* WHAT...High risk of rip currents expected. * WHERE...In Ohio, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County. * WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.
