How to use the Pomona Traffic Map
A static map with traffic flow is shown first and to start using the interactive map you press the blue Load button above to go live.

Traffic flow lines: Red/White dashed lines = Closed Road, Grey/White dashed lines = Road Work, Red lines = Heavy traffic flow, Yellow/Orange lines = Medium flow, and Green = normal traffic. Black lines or no traffic flow lines could indicate a closed road, but in most cases it means that either there is not enough vehicle flow to register or traffic isn't monitored. Also, if you do not see traffic flow, you can zoom in closer to reveal localized data. If you are unable to pan the map, press here (to focus off of the map) and try again.

Traffic Incidents: Each icon represents a traffic event or incident such as road construction, closure (red circle with a white dash), or accident. In some regions there may also be live traffic camaras to view.

In known extreme weather events or accidents, the map may still show green lines, even if lanes or the entire road are closed.

National Traffic Forecast

Weather-Driven Traffic Alerts Across the US
Updated Wed Dec 10th 2025, 6:56am PST
Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies: Brace for Rain & Snow
Expect heavy rain and potential flooding along I-5 and US-101 in the Pacific Northwest today and tomorrow. Those traveling in lower elevations of the northern Rockies, particularly near the Idaho/Montana border, should be prepared for wet conditions. Snow levels will remain high, so mountain passes and roads like I-90 could experience delays due to melting snow and possible localized flooding.
Northeast and Appalachians: Winter Weather Ahead
A strong clipper system will impact the Appalachians and interior Northeast today with snow and wind. Roads including I-81, I-87, and US-11 could see tricky travel conditions due to 4-6 inches of snow, with certain areas like the Central Appalachians facing blizzard-like conditions with gusts up to 50 mph. Tug Hill and western Adirondacks might encounter heftier totals, so plan for possible road closures and detours.
Northern Plains: Incoming Snow and Freezing Rain
Looking ahead, prepare for snow and freezing rain from eastern Montana into the Ohio Valley by the weekend. I-94 and I-90 may experience slippery roads and reduced visibility, with Winter Storm Watches already in place in eastern Montana. Make sure to plan extra travel time.
General Temperature Trends
Temperatures will be sharply divided, with the central to eastern US staying colder than usual. Expect highs in the teens and 20s for the Northern Plains, while the Midwest and Ohio Valley will range from the 20s to 40s. Meanwhile, the southern Plains and Southwest will enjoy milder conditions, with temperatures reaching 60s and 70s, so travelers in Arizona and California can expect smoother drives along I-40 and I-10. Be sure to check local forecasts and road conditions before heading out!
