* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington OK. * WHEN...From 7 AM CDT Saturday through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread heavy rainfall over the last week has led to very saturated ground, excessive runoff, and rising rivers and streams across the area. Another couple rounds of showers and storms are expected this weekend, with widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall possible through Sunday evening. Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches will be possible, with locally higher amounts leading to both flash flooding and mainstem river flooding concerns. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

For the Lower White River...including Newport, Augusta, Georgetown, Des Arc, Clarendon...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Augusta. * WHEN...From late tonight to early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Farm ground along the river in White and Woodruff counties begin to flood. Seasonal agricultural impacts. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.7 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late tonight to 26.2 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday evening to 24.9 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will rise to 25.1 feet Friday, May 10. Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam affecting Franklin, Johnson and Logan Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam. * WHEN...From Saturday evening to Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County. Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and livestock should be moved to higher ground. North 5th Street in Logan County near the Six Mile Levee begins to flood and may cut off access to a nearby residence. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 355.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 357.1 feet early Sunday morning.
