Verdigris River at Coffeyville affecting Montgomery County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Verdigris River at Independence. * WHEN...Until late this evening. * IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Some flooding of low lying areas and bottom land can be expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 36.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 3.0 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.

* WHAT...Excessive runoff from Saturday night's very heavy rainfall continues to cause flooding problems with some roads still closed in the warned area. * WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 640 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported on-going flooding problems in the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Buffalo, Neosho Falls, Galesburg, Savonburg and Elsmore.
