When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain. In some cases, heavy rainfall produced by a severe storm can also lead to flash flooding. Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water depth or fast flowing water/mud/debris from a flash flood will make road conditions unsafe. Areas of fog, notably within river valleys and along the eastern ridges, have developed and could impact the morning commute. Visibilities will change quickly across short distances and could be below a half of a mile at times in the thickest of the fog. Please slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Conditions are expected to improve shortly after sunrise.
