At 845 PM MDT/945 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Palisade to 11 miles southeast of Stratton to 3 miles northwest of St. Francis. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... St. Francis and Trenton around 950 PM CDT. Culbertson around 955 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include McCook, Bird City and McDonald. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 49.

SOURCE...Multiple mesonet sites have reported around 55 mph wind gusts in Wichita county. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Russell Springs. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 75 and 89.
