Very strong southeast winds continue on the western edge of a large shield of rain lifting to the northeast across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois. Sudden gusts up to 45 mph, or isolated higher gusts, could develop quickly with little notice. The strong winds will blow around loose objects and lead to difficult travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
