IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Quinter. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 106 and 113.

At 640 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 10 miles northwest of Pendennis, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Gove County.

Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Parsons. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience water entering their homes at basement levels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 9.2 feet early Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
