At 528 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Indianola, or 11 miles northeast of McCook, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eustis, Stockville, Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area, Orafino, Freedom, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central Nebraska, including the following counties, Merrick, Adams, Hall and Hamilton. * WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 524 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Only isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected through the day on Friday. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Curtis, Moorefield, Stockville, Quick, Bluegill Haven Campground, Willow View Campground, Red Willow Reservoir State Recreation Area, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge. This includes Highway 83 between mile markers 27 and 36.
