Southeasterly winds will continue across both coastal and interior Bristol Bay regions before slowly decreasing in intensity this evening through Thursday. Winds will be strongest across Kamishak Gap, through Iliamna Lake, and into Bristol Bay. Sustained winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph are expected for the communities of Igiugig, Koliganek, and New Stuyahok. Along the coast, expect sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

Reduced visibility as low as one half mile at times. * WHERE...Eastern Aleutians. * WHEN...Through 11 AM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of heavier snow and gusty winds could significantly reduce visibility at times. Snow shower intensity and winds are expected to decrease Thursday morning, though light snow could linger through Friday morning.
