* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Adair County in southwestern Iowa... * WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 326 PM CDT, Emergency management reported numerous closed roads in the warned area, with water nearing Highway 25 south of Greenfield. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area through the overnight hours. Impacted streams include the Middle River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greenfield, Stuart, Adair, Fontanelle, Orient, Bridgewater, Greenfield Municipal Airport and Nodaway Park. - This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 73 and 96.

Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr affecting Polk County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or from Walnut Creek to the Des Moines River. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, Water affects the low areas of Water Works Park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:32 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet, and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
