Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued May 1 at 3:15AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

Lingering moisture from yesterday's showers and light to calm winds have allowed fog to develop overnight across the area. At some locations in the NC mountain valleys, the visibility has been reduced to one quarter mile. This includes the city of Asheville. If the dense fog becomes more widespread, a Dense Fog Advisory may be issued. If you are traveling this morning, be on the lookout for reduced visibility and patchy dense fog. Slow down and leave extra room in front of your vehicle.
