For the Tar River...including Greenville...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Tar River at Greenville. * WHEN...Until late Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Minor flooding of low lying areas adjacent to the river can be expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 14.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM EDT Saturday was 14.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Monday morning and continue falling to 6.6 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

The Riverside Park and River Road at the US64 bridge flood. At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding begins south of Daniel Street in east Tarboro. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 19.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 7.7 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
