* WHAT...High risk of rip currents expected. * WHERE...In Ohio, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern Erie County. * WHEN...From Thursday morning through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Portage and Summit. * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 317 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Solon, Hudson, Twinsburg, Streetsboro, Macedonia, Mantua, Stow, Aurora, Reminderville, Silver Lake, Boston Heights, Peninsula, Sugar Bush Knolls and Montrose-Ghent. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
