FFWEAX The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Miami County in east central Kansas... * Until 430 PM CDT. * At 1030 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Louisburg, Fontana, New Lancaster and Beagle.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of Xavier St, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards east towards the water plant. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.8 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
