At 804 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking an intense snow shower near Frenchtown, or 17 miles northwest of Missoula, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Visibility one-half mile or less with winds gusting up to 20 mph blowing snow. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Low visibility could result in dangerous driving conditions. Locations impacted include... Ravalli, Alberton, Arlee, Evaro, Frenchtown, Ninemile, and Huson. This includes the following highways... Interstate 90 between mile markers 71 and 90. Highway 93 N between mile markers 5 and 25.

Winds gusting as high as 60 mph creating significant blowing and drifting snow. * WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains. * WHEN...Until 6 PM MST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be difficult to dangerous at times due to periods of heavy snow and significant blowing snow. If you go to the high country be sure to let someone know your plans in case you become stranded. Avalanche danger will increase. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will diminish to 30-40mph by late morning.
