Water continues to inundate Gooseneck Lane, cutting off access to homes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 19.7 feet and rising slowly. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 20.5 feet Thursday morning. Oconee River near Oconee affecting Wilkinson, Washington and Johnson Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast to continue. * WHERE...Oconee River near Oconee. * WHEN...Until Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Between 18 and 19 feet, The water level begins to flood the dirt parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp...just upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor flooding continues and spreads further into the woodlands near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 18.6 feet and slowly falling. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM EST Tuesday was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 9.1 feet Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 17 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.4 feet on 12/17/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina. * WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to noon EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Snow and ice accumulations will make some roads treacherous and impassable.
