At 332 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tyrone to near Huntingdon to 11 miles east of Hollidaysburg. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... State College, Lewistown, Huntingdon, Bellefonte, Tyrone, Park Forest Village, Boalsburg, Pleasant Gap, Mount Union, Stormstown, Lemont, Bald Eagle, Burnham, Zion, Belleville, Houserville, Warriors Mark, Pine Grove Mills, Milroy, and Highland Park.

Flash Flood Warning issued May 8 at 3:25AM EDT until May 8 at 4:45AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 325 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms had produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Moon Township, McMurray, McKeesport, Franklin Park, Jeannette, Vandergrift, Gastonville, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin and Upper St. Clair.

Northern Somerset County in south central Pennsylvania... * Until 400 AM EDT. * At 317 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Westmont, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Johnstown, Westmont, Windber, Ebensburg, Belmont, Nanty-Glo, Portage, Geistown, Southmont, Cresson, Gallitzin, and Vinco. Radar has indicated rotation within this severe thunderstorm. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop quickly during severe thunderstorms. This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 100 to 105.

Latrobe, Homer City, Donora, Mount Pleasant, McChesneytown-Loyalhanna, Blairsville, Derry, Lawson Heights, New Stanton, Ligonier, Black Lick, Calumet-Norvelt, New Florence, Seward, Bolivar, Youngstown, Hunker, Laurel Mountain, Armagh, and Lucerne Mines.
