Northeast Cape Fear River Near Burgaw affecting Pender County. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeast Cape Fear River near Burgaw. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Water deepens on the lowest portions of River Bend Road and River Birch Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.4 feet Wednesday morning. - Advisory stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

For the Trent River...including West of Trenton...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trent River at West of Trenton. * WHEN...Until late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Farmland and fields are flooded along the river. Water inundates the Trent River Campground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 14.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM EDT Friday was 14.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.0 feet just after midnight tonight. * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...The lower Cape Fear River including downtown Wilmington. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 5 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...The lowest portions of USS North Carolina Road and Battleship Road begin to observe minor coastal flooding. Water begins to spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just south of Market Street in downtown Wilmington.

* WHAT...Strong north to south longshore current. * WHERE...Coastal New Hanover County. * WHEN...From 6 AM EDT Saturday through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.
