Special Weather Statement issued April 27 at 4:24PM CDT by NWS Hastings NE

At 423 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Clay Center to near Glenvil to near Blue Hill. Movement was north at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Harvard, Clay Center, Glenvil, and Saronville around 430 PM CDT. Inland around 435 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Hastings, Stockham and Trumbull.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Nebraska, including the following county, Lancaster. * WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. Richardson County in southeastern Nebraska... * Until 630 PM CDT. * At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
