For the Lower Humboldt...including Battle Mountain, Comus...elevated river levels are forecast. * WHAT...Flooding caused by seasonal snowmelt is possible. * WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, Monitoring Stage. Some very minor flooding occurs at scattered locations along the reach. No flooding occurs in Winnemucca. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:15 PM PDT Wednesday the stage was 8.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.5 feet late this evening. - Action stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
