* WHAT...Snow above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches mainly impacting along the crest and passes over the Cascades. Lower elevations along the east slopes could see a couple of inches of snow. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades. * WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. *ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels this morning will be around 5000 to 6000 feet but then lowering through the day to around 4000 feet then lowering further overnight to 2500 feet.

* WHAT...Snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...The southern Oregon Cascades from Highway 140 northward. This includes Lake of the Woods, Highway 62 and 138 at Crater Lake and Diamond Lake, and portions of highway 58 near Crescent Lake and Willamette Pass. * WHEN...Through 11 PM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will drop quickly overnight today and rain will change over to snow during the heaviest precipitation. There is a 70 percent chance for 1 inch an hour snowfall rates for a couple of hours between 4AM and 8AM Saturday. Snowfall rates will lighten after that.
