Flood Advisory

Flood Advisory issued July 20 at 2:03PM CDT until July 20 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Chilton and Coosa. * WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 203 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clanton, Higgins Ferry Park, Mitchell Lake, Dollar, Verbena, Lyle, Moriah, Unity, Bentleyville, Mitchell Dam and Cooper.
