At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Chazy, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rouses Point, Champlain Village, Alburgh Village, Champlain, Isle La Motte, Chazy, South Alburgh, Alburgh, Alburgh Dunes State Park, North Hero, Beekmantown, Altona, Swanton, St. Albans Town, Mooers, Reed Point, Wagner Point, North Hero State Park, West Beekmantown, and Alburg Tongue. This includes Interstate 87 between mile markers 161 and 174.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Vermont, including the following counties, Caledonia and Essex. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 652 PM EDT, Emergency management has reported numerous roads flooded and washed out in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Rainfall has tapered off but flooding continues. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen due to the thunderstorms earlier in the day. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... * WHAT...River and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Vermont, including the following county, Caledonia. * WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 649 PM EDT, The automated river gauge gauge at the East Branch of the Passumpsic at East Haven has quickly risen above flood stage. This water is expected to move downstream towards Lyndonville over the next few hours and will create flooding along the East Branch of the Passumpsic River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northwestern Addison County in central Vermont... * Until 900 PM EDT. * At 629 PM EDT, Local law enforcement and highway department have reported portions of Route 17 closed due to flooding. Thunderstorms continue to produce heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
