Clarion River At Cooksburg affecting Jefferson PA, Clarion and Forest Counties. .Heavy rain fell across much of western Pennsylvania over the past 18 hours, resulting in rapid rises on area streams and creeks. Runoff from these rains is forecast to cause the Clarion River and Cooksburg to exceed minor flood stage. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Clarion River at Cooksburg. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Macbeth Cabins flood and water reaches River Road near the State Park office At 14.0 feet, About 1 foot of water covers River Road near the Cook Forest State Park office. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 11.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 13.5 feet this evening. In western Pennsylvania, Lawrence. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 941 AM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rainfall amounts across southwest Pennsylvania and the northern panhandle of West Virginia range from 1.25 This heavy rain is resulting in significant runoff that is causing rivers to rise rapidly. On the Ohio river, many locations are forecast to reach or exceed minor flood stage. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ohio River at Pittsburgh. * WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the Monongahela Parking Wharf. At 19.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the North Shore riverwalk between the stadiums. At 19.5 feet, The Monongahela Parking Wharf is completely flooded. At 20.0 feet, Water is up to one foot deep in the lower areas of the North Shore Riverwalk. At 22.0 feet, The Tenth Street Bypass floods. At 22.5 feet, The fountain plaza is flooded. At 24.0 feet, Water enters the outer pool of the fountain. At 24.9 feet, Water entes the inner pool of the fountain. At 25.0 feet, The Parkway Central (also known as the bathtub) is closed by flooding. Lower North Side businesses are affected.
